The Burning Question

Today my conversation with Aly went something like this:

Aly: "So Mom, I was thinking"
Me: "about what"
Aly: "Well, does Elmo have a penis"?
Me: "Um, he's a boy so yeah, I guess so"
Aly: "Oh, okay, it must be underneath all that fur"
Me: "Must be"

Somehow, when I woke up this morning I did not think my day would entail me talking about Elmo's junk!

New Year's Resolution

Did I really say that I was going to try to blog more for my new year's resolution? Oh well, there's always an excuse. I went to get my hair trimmed today and Aly got hers done too. As we were leaving the salon Ashley informs us that she has seen the "NEW Jesus". I said "what do you mean, the new Jesus". "The new Jesus at my preschool at chapel". Duh Mom! Apparently Ashley thinks our Pastor is Jesus and the Pastor who does chapel at her preschool is the NEW Jesus. I love 3 3/4 year olds!

What else is new? Church is keeping us super busy in January. I am going to turn 32 next week...I'm sure Corey will be starting the "Cradle Robber and Baby Snatcher" jokes any day. He will not tell me what he has planned. I hope it includes a "little blue box" (hint, hint, Plaza Frontenac).

Busy season has started at March of Dimes...my position has been approved for 10.5 hours this next year...was hoping for 17.5 but I'll take the 10.5, and I'm no longer considered temporary but part-time regular. Maybe one of these days I'll get back to full time. I totally love what I do...I am working with some really amazing people this year and my job is actually inclusive of the entire state of MO this year and not just STL. I will be coaching, mentoring, developing materials and training volunteers across the state! So excited, this is what I would love to do full-time.

Girls have birthdays next month. Mom's coming for a visit in a couple of weeks and my little man will be 8 months old on Jan 31st (best kid ever).

Corey's having a crazy week. I expect it to be that way for at least another week. His project goes into full implementation next Saturday (they've been working on this for over a year now so it's almost done). So I am off to get dinner on the table, clean up a bit and vacuum for him (he's very picky about carpet) as a little surprise before he gets home.
