Preschool, Soccer, Pajamas, Date Time

Busy week but then whose isn't? Soccer game on Saturday was great, they don't keep score but Aly scored two goals and her team won...you always keep score, even if the league says you don't! Aly did great and my hubby was awesome, as always. He's so good with kids! He was even congratulating other kids on the opposing team on their good shots. Such a good sport.

Ashley started preschool on Monday, she totally loved it. We had to decorate a doll that reflected her personality. Notice all the bling, that's our Ashley, she always has her accessories on! Side story, I'm including a picture of Ash and I on her first day of preschool...what is it with these kids opinion about how I look when I take them to school. I was wearing "lounge clothes" when I dropped Ashley off and in front of all the parents she says "Mom, why are you wearing your pajamas"! Thanks Ash, it's time for me to go home and eat my bon bons while you're in class!

Joel is doing wonderful, he's so awesome. I love having a son! He's growing so big. He has such a sweet personality.

I get to go into the MOD office today...by myself...for a meeting! Woot, Woot! And then Grandma is taking 1/2 day off work tomorrow to watch all three kiddos so Corey and I can go on a date to the Cards game. We have one of those all inclusive deals!

Game Day!

Tomorrow is game day and Aly did what every girl who is getting ready to play her first soccer game does... she tried on her uniform to make sure that she will be looking cute for the big day!

First Day

Aly survived her first day of Kindergarten but more importantly I survived...with little tears. I let myself meltdown last night when Corey was praying for her first day and then when I woke up this morning but I held it together when it mattered...in front of all the "cool" kids at the bus stop this morning.

Aly's been so excited about taking the bus so I relented and am letting her take it to and from school(Kim you were right...with a newborn at home this is definitely the way to go). After I put her on the bus I went up to the school to meet her. I got there before the bus did and was a smidge freaked out when I didn't see her in her class. I did find her walking down the hall towards her class with her friend from preschool. Whew...she just gave me the exasperated "MOM, what are you doing here" look. As soon as she walked over to her assigned seat she completely melted...not because she was going to miss me but because she was the only girl at her table of 5. I looked at the teacher and said "she'll be fine when I leave so see ya"! Everything else went perfectly and she is ready for another day. One down, two to go (I'm not rushing it though)!

Not Making Any Promises...yet

So I'm not making any promises to update this blog in a more timely fashion until the kids go to school.

I've felt like I've been treading water and am barely able to keep my head up some days. The demands of having three kids has really been kicking my butt lately. I barely get any time to myself...when I work out but what kind of quality time is that? It's been keeping me on a steady workout schedule though!

So since the whole hard drive crash we went to Branson for a week, finished dance camp and have been doing our best to enjoy the last few days of summer. I have to admit, I am so excited for the fall. Anyone who knows me knows how much I enjoy being on a schedule and love routine! We've got so many activities to fill out calendar up with this fall I am totally loving it and that is what is keeping me "treading" and not drowning!

Aly starts Kindergarten on Monday (so excited, her and me). Ashley starts preschool a week from this Monday (again, I can hardly contain my excitement). Dance starts again in a few weeks and Aly is also playing soccer this fall (we talked Corey into coaching her team since he has so much free time...yeah right). Did I mention that I LOVE schedules??

My July hiatus with March of Dimes is over and I started working again last week...my big 5-7 hours a week but I love that too! I would totally welcome the opportunity to go back to work full time if the right job comes along. In the meantime and all my spare time (what's that) I've been trying to work on my newest venture...posh hair couture for babies! Check out my latest creations (I'm taking orders)...and my model...poor guy, but he has the perfect size head! Honestly you don't have to start worrying unless we start painting his nails...which Daddy would never allow!

CRASHED

Some of you may be wondering where I've been...on vacation and then my hard drive crashed! Yea, isn't that exiciting! Sometimes I feel nickel and dimed all the time! Hopefully I'll have access to my home computer again by August 11th. Cross your fingers that we will be able to recover the data on our hard drive!
